Star Princess Emerges From Dry Dock

The latest Princess cruise ship to undergo an update has emerged from dry dock after a two-week multi million dollar refresh.

Star Princess has been given some updated features and amenities similar to other Princess ships that have undergone dry dock recently. One of the most noticeable changes is the new hull art which has been making its way onto the Princess fleet.

Restaurants have been an area that has been focused on, with Sabatini’s, which serves rustic Italian cuisine onboard, receiving  a decor facelift. In addition the restaurant has also got a new menu after partnering with Chef Angelo Auriana, who’s cuisine is inspired by fresh Northern Italian flavours, from his hometown of Bergamo.

Cabins have also been enhanced onboard, with all cabin’s now fitted with Princess Luxury Beds, which have been developed with leading experts in the science and beauty of sleep. Princess Cruises joined forces with Dr. Michael Breus to create a mattress which utilizes the latest in sleep science research. Princess Cruises hope this will lead to their guests coming back from their cruise holiday feeling refreshed, renewed and rejuvenated.

For those who want to indulge in a little retail therapy onboard shops will now carry the popular ‘Under Armour’ apparel, which may be useful onboard, with the fitness center receiving brand new equipment! Carpeting and upholstery has also been updated throughout the ship.

One of the biggest changes onboard will be of particular note if you’re travelling with children. Camp Discovery, is Princess Cruises‘ youth and teen center which provides engaging new experiences and Star Princess has revamped areas for children in each different age group.
