Queen Mary 2

An invitation to dress in your finest black tie for a spectacular evening of music and celebration.

The true romance of ocean travel is never more alive than on our Gala Evenings. You’ll feel a palpable sense of occasion in the air as guests emerge from their staterooms in their finest eveningwear, beautifully attired in tuxedos and ball gowns, like a scene from a Hollywood movie.

While our mouthwatering menus change, our exceptional culinary standards remain the same.

Your table is reserved for breakfast, lunch and dinner in one of the sophisticated main restaurants on board. Each is the home of deliciously imaginative menus, exceptional wines and impeccable service.

Starters might include salmon gravlax with poached quail’s egg or a croquette of suckling pig. For your entrée, you might be in the mood for Dover Sole Meunière or a Chateaubriand, perhaps rounded off with a rich bitter chocolate soufflé or a lighter mango panna cotta.

You can always let your taste buds lead you somewhere deliciously different on board.
If anything sums up the freedom of your cruise, it is the array of places to eat, from healthy to hearty, from light bites to haute cuisine. It’s simply a case of deciding what you’re in the mood for.

In Steakhouse at The Verandah, treat yourself to speciality seafood and tender cooked-to-order prime cuts.

During Dinner at the Lido, part of the Lido restaurant on board Queen Victoria or Queen Elizabeth (Kings Court on Queen Mary 2) transforms into a contemporary and intimate dining experience each evening. Delight in a menu that celebrates locally sourced and artisan ingredients, hailing from field, farm and ocean.

On board Queen Anne, you can explore a diverse array of alternative dining venues, including contemporary Indian cuisine, Mediterranean flavours and tastes of Japan, pub classics reimagined by Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux, and a flagship steakhouse and grill.

Wherever on earth our flagship Queen Mary 2 carries you, set off on an adventure through the stars.

You know you’re on a special ship indeed when you can settle into your comfortable seat in the largest planetarium at sea on Queen Mary 2. More than this, Illuminations is a luxury 3D cinema and a classical music venue. The planetarium dome can send you on an epic voyage across the solar system, teach you to navigate by the stars, or show other science and natural history films, with up to four screenings on each sea day. With the dome retracted, Illuminations hosts 3D films and stunning concerts and recitals.

Enjoy West End calibre production shows in the extravagant setting of the Royal Court Theatre.

Our lavish Royal Court Theatres would rival many of those found in the West End or Broadway and whether you’re a lover of serious drama or glittering musical productions, you’re in for a real treat. With comfortable seating and state-of-the-art facilities, the chances are you’ll enjoy an evening to remember which will prove to be one of the highlights of your holiday. And remember, on Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth the experience is even more special when enjoyed from your own theatre box.

If you’re sailing on Queen Mary 2 and wish for a lively evening dancing to the sounds of a live DJ and resident band, head to G32.
This vibrant nightclub, found only on Queen Mary 2, offers the chance to let your hair down in a dazzling space full of like-minded guests, with a party atmosphere that inspires a genuine good time.
When what you feel like is a few drinks and a chance to show off your moves, this is the ideal place to end the night. G32 is a dual-level venue, so you’ll always be able to find a quieter spot if you’d like to sit down for a breather or chat with friends.
The bar menu offers an impressive range of drinks to suit every taste, including champagne and our signature cocktails as well as the usual favourites such as beer, wine, spirits and mixers.
G32’s resident band and live DJ are on hand to keep you dancing and make your night one to remember.

Devote an indulgent hour every day to a Cunard tradition: our signature Afternoon Tea.

This daily ritual occurs between 3.30pm and 4.30pm in the Queens Room, a venue akin to a stately ballroom thanks to ambient lighting and ornate furnishings. Come along and witness the procession of white-gloved waiters before they present an array of treats to your table.
The Afternoon Tea menu changes every day. It includes delectable finger sandwiches with a variety of fillings, scones, and elegant patisserie. Delight in our own Signature Cunard scones, available plain or with fruit, with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry preserve. You’ll also have several types of Twinings fine leaf tea to choose from, to accompany your refreshments.

Each element of Afternoon Tea is served on fine bone china, and the whole affair is complemented by a melodic backdrop, courtesy of our resident pianist or harpist.

While many of our guests choose to embrace the sense of occasion by donning a tea dress or a smart casual suit, casual dress is also welcomed.

Cunard’s Afternoon Tea is included in your fare. Grills guests may also take Afternoon Tea in the more intimate Princess Grill restaurant, while alternatively, a more casual interpretation awaits in the Lido or King’s Court.

Gluten free and vegetarian dishes are available. If you have any food allergies or other dietary requirements, please inform us by phone after booking your voyage.
